Johnny Boy Goes Acoustic

Johnny Boy Acoustic EP

By William Pace

Thumper Punk Records are encouraging  artists to step out of their comfort zone and go acoustic. By doing their own original acoustic EP. Johnny Boy steps out from playing bass and into his solo acoustic shoes…and they fit great! He’s no stranger to the mic either; as the former front man from Oxnard punk giants “The Way” a christian punk band, this is second nature to him. These tracks reveal a deep emotional range. While I was listening to this EP I felt what he was singing. If you can connect emotionally on some level with people you perform to or that listen to your record you’ve done your job.  What more can you ask?

Johnny Boy’s channeling his inner Jason Mraz!

I give this EP 8/10.

ThumperPunk Records is making this available on 7” vinyl
