The first time I heard Stacey Dee’s voice was with the Angry Amputees on the soundtrack for Tony Hawk’s Underground. I was completely in love with that song. Fast forward nearly 12-years-later. I read that Fat Mike of NoFX has made a punk rock musical called “Home Street Home”, I immediately purchased it on iTunes. The opening track, “Monsters” was like my ears were falling in love all over again. What’s more, it was such a raw, emotionally charged and REAL performance. It was awesome to hear Stacey’s voice again. So, I looked up what she’d been up to since that Tony Hawk Soundtrack, this is when I discovered Bad Cop/Bad Cop.I cannot stress how much I love these ladies. The op
I cannot stress how much I love these ladies. Their first LP “Not Sorry” is a regular listening experience for me, as is their “Boss Lady” EP. I can sit here and rattle off all my favorite songs, “Nightmare”, “My Life”, “Rodeo”, “Anti Love Song” and plenty more. I even have the split record they did “Don” with the Barbwire Dolls. The point is, I’m a fan. I have more recently been able to say I have the pleasure of calling myself a friend to some of the band members as well. They are truly inspirational. We just got the coolest double-dose of Bad Cop/Bad Cop with both the Warped Tour and then a show at Loosey’s in Gainesville, Fl.
When I saw it was announced that the newest record “Warriors” was set to release this past June, I immediately preordered it. I notified my wife, Aly, who is possibly the biggest Bad Cop/Bad Cop fan alive. This led to us pre-ordering the Vinyl as well. The first time that I heard “Womanarchist”, I knew it was a hit. I knew this song was a proclamation that this new album was going to be amazing. I wasn’t wrong. “Warriors” is legitimately vying for record of the year for me beside Rancid’s newest offering “Troublemaker”.
Today, I was ecstatic to see the premiere of the “Womanarchist” music video which debuted on the Bad Copy website.
Today, we’re stoked beyond belief to be premiering the music video for “Womanarchist”. The video features friends and fans of the band who recorded themselves singing along to the three minute track. There are also some familiar faces from the Fat family in there, but we won’t ruin any surprises for you. Check out the video for “Womanarchist” below and make sure you pick up your copy of Warriors today!
